जेलर ने पूछा, सुभाष चंद्र बॉस कहा हैं ?

उसने जवाब दिया मेरे हृदय में !

ग़ुस्से में जेलर ने ब्रेस्ट रिपर से उस बहादुर भारत की बेटी का एक स्तन काट दिया।

यह कहानी हैं भारत की सबसे पहली महिला गुप्तचर (जासूस) नीरा आर्या की !

 यह नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस की आजाद हिंद फौज में रानी झांसी रेजीमेंट की सिपाही थीं। इन्होंने अंग्रेजों के सामने कई बार जासूसी की और सफल रहीं। देश के स्वतंत्रता के लिए इतनी दृढ़ इच्छाशक्ति थी के उन्होंने वीर स्वतंत्र सेनानी नेताजी बोस को बचाने के लिए स्वयं के पति जो ब्रिटिश सरकार के लिए काम करते थे, उनकी हत्या कर दी । 

🔹नीरा आर्या बहुत कम उम्र में ही आजाद हिंद फौज में रानी झांसी रेजीमेंट की सिपाही बन गई थीं। जब वे गुप्तचर थी तब उनको निर्देश था, यदि अंग्रेजों की पकड़ में आ जाएं तो बिना सोचे-समझे स्वयं को गोली मार कर वीरगति को प्राप्त कर लें। वह हिंदी, अंग्रेजी और बंगाली के साथ अन्य भारतीय भाषाएं भी बोल लेती थीं। इनके पति सीआईडी इंस्पेक्टर श्रीकांत जयरंजन दास अंग्रेजों के लिए काम करते थे और तथा अंग्रेजों के प्रति अति निष्ठावान थे। 

🔹एक दिन अंग्रेजों ने श्रीकांत जयरंजन को नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस को मारने की जिम्मेदारी दी। जयरंजन दास खुफिया तरीके से किसी तरह सुभाषचंद्र बोस के पास जा पहुंचे। वह उन्हें मारने ही वाले थे कि उनकी पत्नी नीरा ने उन्हें पहचान लिया। इससे पहले कि वह नेताजी को अपनी गोली का शिकार बनाते, नीरा ने तुरंत संगीन अपने पति जयरंजन दास के पेट में घोंप दी और उसे मौत के घाट उतार दिया तथा निरा ने नेताजी को बचा लिया। नीरा की वीरता और त्याग देखकर नेताजी दंग रह गए। 

🔹आजाद हिंद फौज के समर्पण के बाद नीरा को पति की हत्या के आरोप में काले पानी की सजा सुनाई गई। वहां उन्हें घोर यातनाएं दी गईं। यहां उन्हें एक छोटी सी कोठरी में रखा जाता. जहां सूर्य की किरण भी ना आती हो ऐसी कोठरी में लोहे की जंजीरों में बांधकर रखा गया, लगातार उनके साथ बदसलूकी की जाती रही। 

🔹एक दिन जेलर ने उनसे पूछा, ‘अगर तुम यह बता दो कि नेताजी कहां हैं तो हम तुम्हें छोड़ देंगे।’ लेकिन उन्होंने किसी भी हालत में अपना मुंह नहीं खोला। नेताजी के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए उन पर बर्बर अत्याचार किए गए। लोहे की सलाखों से उनके शरीर को दागा गया, लेकिन वे यातनाएँ सहती रही ! 

🔹नेता जी की मृत्यु प्लेन क्रैश में हुई थी, फिर भी अंग्रेजों को यह विश्वास नहीं था कि नेता जी की मृत्यु हुई हैं । अंग्रेजों को नेता जी बहुत डर था इसी लिए अंग्रेज नीरा से पूछते थे कि सुभाष चंद्र बोस कहां छिपे हुए हैं ? निरा बोलतीं थी उनकी तो हवाई दुर्घटना में मौत हो गई है, ये बात पूरी दुनिया जानती है। परंतु अंग्रेज सरकार नेता जी की मृत्यु को स्वीकार नहीं कर पा रही थी। निरा को जानकारी देने के बदले जमानत देने तक का लालच दिया जाता। लेकिन उन्होंने निरा ने नेता जी के संदर्भ में या आज़ाद हिन्द फ़ौज के अन्य साथी यो के संदर्भ में कभी कुछ नहीं बोला । 

🔹अंग्रेजो के जेलर द्वारा बार बार नेताजी कहा हैं? कहा हैं ? पूछने पे निरा बोलती थी नेता जी मेरे हृदय में हैं, यह सुन कर एक दिन जेलर ने गुस्से में कहा कि ठीक है हम तुम्हारे दिल को चीरकर निकालकर देखेंगे कि नेताजी कहां हैं ? 

🔹जेलर ने एक लोहार को इशारा किया. वो ब्रेस्ट रिपर लेकर आया और उनके दाएं स्तन को दबाकर काटने लगा. उनका एक स्तन काट दिया गया. भारत की बेटी असह्य पीड़ा में तड़पती रही। जेलर ने कहा यदि कभी वापिस बोला सुभाष मेरे हृदय में हैं तो ये दूसरा स्तन भी काट दिया जाएगा . जब देश आजाद हुआ, तब नीरा आर्या जेल से बाहर आईं. दुर्भाग्य से इतनी बड़ी वीरांगना को हैदराबाद में फूल बेचकर अपना गुजारा करना पड़ा. (सरकार से कोई सहायता नहीं मिली क्योंकि नेहरू ने कभी आज़ाद हिन्द फ़ौज को पसंद नहीं किया था)

साल 1998 में उनका निधन हुआ था. उन्होंने अपने जीवन पर एक किताब भी लिखी, जिसका नाम- मेरा जीवन संघर्ष है.

This is the story of India's first female spy Neera Arya!

She was a soldier of Rani Jhansi Regiment in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's Azad Hind Fauj. She spied many times in front of the British and was successful. She had such a strong will for the independence of the country that she killed her own husband, who worked for the British government, to save the brave freedom fighter Netaji Bose.

🔹Neera Arya became a soldier of Rani Jhansi Regiment in Azad Hind Fauj at a very young age. When she was a spy, she was instructed that if she gets caught by the British, she should shoot herself without thinking and attain martyrdom. She spoke Hindi, English and Bengali as well as other Indian languages. Her husband, CID Inspector Shrikant Jayaranjan Das, worked for the British and was extremely loyal to them. 

🔹One day the British gave the responsibility of killing Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to Shrikant Jayaranjan. Jayaranjan Das somehow reached Subhash Chandra Bose secretly. He was about to kill him when his wife Nira recognized him. Before he could shoot Netaji, Nira immediately stabbed her husband Jayaranjan Das in the stomach with a bayonet and killed him. Nira saved Netaji. Netaji was stunned to see the valor and sacrifice of Nira.

🔹After the surrender of Azad Hind Fauj, Neera was sentenced to black water for the murder of her husband. She was given severe torture there. Here she was kept in a small cell. She was kept tied in iron chains in a cell where even the rays of the sun did not reach, she was constantly mistreated. 

🔹One day the jailor asked her, 'If you tell us where Netaji is, we will release you.' But she did not open her mouth under any circumstances. She was brutally tortured to get information about Netaji. Her body was branded with iron bars, but she kept tolerating the torture! 

🔹Netaji died in a plane crash ( disputed), yet the British did not believe that Netaji had died. The British were very afraid of Netaji, that is why the British used to ask Nira where Subhash Chandra Bose was hiding? Nira used to say that he died in an air crash, the whole world knows this. But the British government was not able to accept Netaji's death. Nira was even offered bail in exchange for providing information. But Nira never said anything about Netaji or other comrades of Azad Hind Fauj.

🔹When the British jailor repeatedly asked her where Netaji was, Nira used to say that Netaji was in her heart. Hearing this, one day the jailor angrily said that okay, we will rip out your heart and see where Netaji was. 

🔹The jailor signaled a blacksmith. He brought a breast ripper and started cutting her right breast by pressing it. One of her breasts was cut off. The daughter of India kept on suffering in unbearable pain. The jailor said that if she ever says again that Subhash is in her heart, then this other breast will also be cut off. When the country became independent, Nira Arya came out of jail. Unfortunately, such a great warrior had to make a living by selling flowers in Hyderabad. (She did not get any help from the government because Nehru never liked the Azad Hind Fauj)

She died in the year 1998. She also wrote a book on her life, whose name is- Mera Jeevan Sangharsh.
