Many historians have praised the greatness of Akbar, but very few historians have described Akbar's petty antics.
Akbar used to organize Nowruz fair every year in Delhi with his dirty intentions, in which entry of men was prohibited. One day Maharana Pratap's niece, younger brother Maharaj Shaktisingh's daughter came to see the decoration of the fair, whose name was Baisa Kirandevi, who was married to Prithviraj of Bikaner.
Seeing the beauty of Baisa Kirandevi, Akbar could not control himself and without thinking, he fraudulently called her to the Janana Mahal through maidservants. As soon as Akbar tried to touch Baisa Kirandevi, Kirandevi took out a dagger from the waist knocking him down and put her foot on his chest and she put the dagger on his neck
And said Neench... Naradham, you don't know that I am the niece of Maharana Pratap, whose name does not give you sleep, say what is your last wish, Akbar's blood dried up, you would never have thought that Emperor Akbar today at the feet of a Rajput Baisa Akbar said, I made a mistake in recognizing you. Please forgive me Devi, then Kiran Devi said that after today there will be no fair of Nowruz in Delhi and will not disturb any woman. The fair was never held after that day.
The description of this incident has been given on page number 632 in Sagat Raso composed by Girdhar Asiya. This incident has also been told through a couplet in a painting in Bikaner Museum.
Kiran Baisa climbed like a lioness pulling a dagger on him
Akbar begged for his life.
