Reality of Ravan

रावण के अनुयायी कहते हैं कि ”रावण सबसे बड़ा शिव भक्त था ऐसा महादेव ने घोषित किया था”. लेकिन महादेव जी का ऐसा वाक्य किसी शास्त्र (श्रुति, स्मृति इतिहास और पुराण) में नही मिलता, हां नंदी जी के बारे में ऐसा प्रमाण आवश्य मिलता है. लिंग पुराण 1.43.27 के अनुसार, भगवान शिव ने नंदी से कहा "तुम हमेशा मेरे पसंदीदा रहोगे और हमेशा मेरे निकट रहोगे!"

वामन पुराण 213.17 के अनुसार, महादेव नंदी से कहते हैं "हे नंदी! तुमसे बढ़कर मेरे लिए कोई प्रिय नहीं है!" इससे स्पष्ट हो जाता हैं कि नंदी ही भगवान महादेव का सबसे बड़ा भक्त है.

वाल्मिकी रामायण उत्तर काण्ड 13.7 के अनुसार, विवाह के बाद रावण का चरित्र नकारात्मक हो गया था. वह देवताओं, ऋषियों, यक्षों आदि को मारने और पीड़ा पहुंचाने लगा. नन्दनवन के पेड़ उखाड़ आता, पर्वतों को छिन्न भिन्न कर देता. वाल्मिकी रामायण उत्तर काण्ड 13.22–36 के अनुसार, कुबेर ने भाई (रावण) को धर्म के मार्ग पर समझाने के लिए दूत भेजा तब उसने दूत को भी मार दिया और कुबेर पर आक्रमण करने के लिए निकल पड़ा. अर्थात उसका किसी पर प्रेम नही था.

वाल्मिकी रामायण उत्तर काण्ड 17.30–40 क अनुसार, रावण ने हिमालय के वन में तपस्या कर रही वेदवती को गंदी निगाह से देखने के बाद वेदवती के साथ दुष्कर्म करने का प्रयास किया. वेदवती ने रावण के अगले जन्म में अयोनिजा (सीता) पैदा होकर उसकी मृत्यु का कारण बनने का शाप दिया. यही वेदवती अगले जन्म में जनकनन्दिनी सीता बनी.

वाल्मिकी रामायण उत्तर काण्ड 26.19 के अनुसार, रावण ने अप्सरा रंभा (पुत्री तुल्य) के साथ दुष्कर्म किया था. हालांकि रंभा ने उनको पितातुल्य कहकर स्वयं को बचाने का प्रयास किया था कि वह रावण की पुत्रवधू है क्योंकि उसका कुबेर पर प्रेम है. आप स्वयं सोचिए की रावण को हम महादेव के नाम से कैसे जोड़ सकते हैं?

राम से पहले किसके और कितनी बार हारा रावण

रावण कई बार पराजित हो चुका था. एक बार कार्तवीर्य अर्जुन से फिर बाद में वानर राज बली से.वाल्मिकी रामायण उत्तर काण्ड 23.66 के अनुसार, महिष्मती पुर के राजा अर्जुन ने रावण को युद्ध में हराया था जब अर्जुन ने नर्मदा का बहाव अपनी भुजा से रोक दिया था. उस समय रावण द्वारा आराधना के लिए लाए पुष्प बह गए थे. युद्ध हुआ और रावण को अर्जुन ने बन्दी बना लिया. वाल्मिकी रामायण उत्तर काण्ड 36.34 के अनुसार, रावण को वानर राज बाली ने भी हराया था जब रावण ने जाना की बाली को हराना मुश्किल है. वह गया तो था चुनौती देने पर बन्दी बनकर बाली की कांख में लटकता रहा

Followers of Ravana say that “Mahadev had declared that Ravana was the greatest devotee of Shiva”. But such a statement of Mahadev ji is not found in any scripture (Shruti, Smriti, Itihasa and Purana), yes, such evidence is definitely found about Nandi ji. According to Linga Purana 1.43.27, Lord Shiva said to Nandi "You will always be my favorite and will always remain close to me!"

 According to Vamana Purana 213.17, Mahadev says to Nandi "O Nandi! There is no one more dear to me than you!" From this it becomes clear that Nandi is the biggest devotee of Lord Mahadev.

 According to Valmiki Ramayana Uttar Kand 13.7, Ravana's character had become negative after marriage. He started killing and hurting gods, sages, yakshas etc. He would uproot the trees of Nandanvan and disintegrate the mountains. According to Valmiki Ramayana Uttar Kand 13.22–36, Kuber sent a messenger to convince his brother (Ravana) on the path of religion, then he killed the messenger too and set out to attack Kuber. That means he had no love for anyone.

According to Valmiki Ramayana Uttar Kanda 17.30–40, Ravana tried to rape Vedavati after looking at her with dirty eyes while she was doing penance in the Himalayan forest. Vedavati cursed Ravana to be born as Ayonija (Sita) in his next birth and become the cause of his death. This Vedavati became Janakandini Sita in the next birth.

 According to Valmiki Ramayana Uttar Kand 26.19, Ravana had raped the Apsara Rambha (daughter-like). However, Rambha tried to save herself by calling him a father figure and saying that she was Ravana's daughter-in-law because she was in love with Kuber. Think for yourself how can we connect Ravana with the name of Mahadev?

 Before whom and how many times did Ravana defeat Ram?

 Ravana had been defeated many times. Once from Kartavirya Arjun and later from the monkey king Bali. According to Valmiki Ramayana Uttar Kand 23.66, King Arjun of Mahishmatipur had defeated Ravana in the war when Arjun stopped the flow of Narmada with his arm. At that time the flowers brought by Ravana for worship were swept away. There was a war and Ravana was taken prisoner by Arjun. According to Valmiki Ramayana Uttar Kand 36.34, Ravana was also defeated by the monkey king Bali when Ravana realized that it was difficult to defeat Bali. When he challenged him, he went as a prisoner and remained hanging in Bali's armpit.
