जैन धर्म: भगवान ऋषभदेव कहानियाँ: इस समय चक्र के पहले तीर्थंकर आदिनाथ के 2 जन्मों की खोज

भगवान ऋषभदेव, जिन्हें आदिनाथ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, पहले तीर्थंकर थे (इस वर्तमान समय चक्र का तीसरा युग)। वह तीसरे युग के पहले राजा भी थे। इनका प्रतीक चिह्न (लांछन) बैल का है।

 तीर्थंकर बनने से पहले उन्होंने 12 जन्म लिए थे। उनका जन्म युग्लिक युग में कुलकर नाभि और मरुदेवी के पुत्र के रूप में हुआ था।

 उनका विवाह सुनंदा और सुमंगला से हुआ था और उनके 100 बेटे और 2 बेटियां थीं। उन्होंने पूर्ण ज्ञान (केवल-ज्ञान) प्राप्त किया और अपने हजारों अनुयायियों को देशना दी।

 आइए अब तीर्थंकर भगवान ऋषभदेव के रूप में उनके जन्म से पहले, भगवान के दो पिछले जन्मों की जीवन कहानियों के बारे में जानें।

 पहला और दूसरा जन्म

 पहला जन्म महाविदेह क्षेत्र में राजा प्रसन्न चंद्र के राज्य में धन्ना सेठ के रूप में हुआ था। धन्ना सेठ एक बड़े व्यापारी थे. उन्होंने कई तपस्वियों को भिक्षा और अन्य सेवाएँ दीं।

 एक बार वे व्यापारिक उद्देश्य से वसंतपुर जा रहे थे। रास्ते में कुछ जैन भिक्षुओं ने पूछा कि क्या वे उनके साथ यात्रा कर सकते हैं। वह उन्हें अपने साथ ले गया और पूरे रास्ते उनकी दिल से सेवा की। उन्होंने उन्हें भिक्षुओं के लिए आदर्श एक उपयुक्त स्थान पर बसने में मदद की और अपने व्यापारिक कार्य के लिए चले गये। फिर वह अपने व्यवसाय में इतना व्यस्त हो गया कि वह भिक्षुओं के बारे में पूरी तरह से भूल गया। अचानक एक दिन उन्हें जैन भिक्षुओं को अपने साथ लाने की बात याद आयी।

 वह तुरंत उनके पास गया, अपनी गलतियों पर पश्चाताप किया और फिर दिल से उनकी सेवा की। इस दौरान धन्ना सेठ को सम्यक दृष्टि प्राप्त हुई, जो पूर्ण ज्ञान की ओर पहला मील का पत्थर था, जिसके बाद उन्होंने अपना शेष जीवन धर्म, दूसरों की मदद और कठोर तपस्या के लिए समर्पित कर दिया। वे एक श्रावक के रूप में रहते थे।

 उनका अगला जन्म भरत क्षेत्र में तीसरे युग (जैन धर्म के समय चक्र के अनुसार तीसरा आरा) में युगल (जुड़वाँ) के रूप में हुआ।

 भरत क्षेत्र में वर्तमान समय चक्र के प्रथम युग से तीसरे युग तक के काल को युग्लिक कहा जाता है। युग्लिक काल में मनुष्य जुड़वा बच्चों के रूप में पैदा होते थे, एक नर और एक मादा। प्रत्येक जुड़वां जोड़ा या युगल वयस्क होने तक भाई-बहन के रूप में रहते थे और उसके बाद वयस्क होने पर पति-पत्नी के रूप में रहते थे। उन्होंने एक सुखी और संतुष्ट जीवन जीया और एक साथ प्राकृतिक मौत मर गए। इस दौरान न तो कोई तनाव था, न दर्द और न ही लोगों को कभी खाने की चिंता हुई।

Jainism : BHAGWAN RISHABHDEV STORIES: EXPLORING 2 BIRTHS OF ADINATH, THE FIRST TIRTHANKAR OF THIS TIME CYCLE

Bhagwan Rishabhdev, also known as Adinath, was the first Tirthankar of the

third era of this current time cycle. He was also the first King of the third era. His symbol (laanchhan) is of a bull. 

He had taken 12 births before He became a Tirthankar. He was born in the Yuglik era as the son of Kulkar Nabhi and Marudevi.

He was married to Sunanda and Sumangala and had 100 sons and 2 daughters. He attained Absolute Knowledge (Keval-Gnan) and gave Deshna to His thousands of followers.

Let’s now go through the life stories of the Lord’s 2 previous births, prior to His birth as Tirthankar Bhagwan Rishabhdev.

The First & Second Birth

The first birth was as Dhanna Seth in the kingdom of King Prasanna Chandra in the Mahavideh Kshetra. Dhanna Seth was a big business man. He offered alms and other services to many ascetics.

Once, for business purpose, he was going to Vasantpur. On the way, some Jain monks asked whether they could travel with him. He took them along with him and served them heartily all the way. He helped them settle in a suitable place, ideal for the monks and left for his business work. He then became so busy in his business that he completely forgot about the monks. Suddenly one day, he recalled about having brought the Jain monks along with him.

He immediately went to them, repented for his mistakes and served them heartily then. During this time, Dhanna Seth got Samyak Drashti, the first milestone to Absolute Knowledge, after which he dedicated his remaining life to religion, helping others and severe penance. He lived as a Shravak.

His next birth was as a Yugal (twins) in the third era (third aara as per the Jainism time cycle) in the Bharat Kshetra.

The period from the first era to the third era of the current time cycle in Bharat Kshetra is called Yuglik. In the Yuglik period, humans were born as twins, one male and one female. Each twin pair or Yugal lived as brother and sister until maturity and thereafter lived as husband and wife upon reaching adulthood. They lived a happy and contented life and died a natural death together. During this period, there was no tension, no pain and people never worried about food.
